The Wilderness Wander - Sussex Wildlife Trust’s first charity fundraising walk
Saturday 25 May 2019 – Tilgate Park, Crawley
Join Sussex Wildlife Trust for their first charity fundraising walk The Wilderness Wander on Saturday 25 May 2019 at Tilgate Park, Crawley. The Wilderness Wander is not about the miles you walk or the hills you climb, but a chance to stop and wonder at the natural beauty around you, and learn about the wildlife you see.
Unlike other walks and runs through green spaces in Sussex, this walk will give you and your family the opportunity to engage with the nature around you, learn new skills and benefit from the health and wellbeing that our beautiful countryside has to offer.
There will be three loop walks all starting and finishing in Tilgate Park, Crawley, varying in distance;
The Tots Family Wander (5km), The Explorer Wander (10km), The Adventure Wander (15km). On the three loop walks you will be given nature trail activity sheets, and members of the Trust’s Learning and Engagement Team will be on hand to answer questions about the wildlife you may see along your route. You can also take part in family activities such as bug hunts, tree rubbing, and join in our exciting wild scavenger hunt on this immersive interactive walk.
